Christopher Tillman has nurtured a lifelong fascination with all things creepy, bizarre, and mysterious. In 1993, he turned that fascination into a pursuit and began venturing out to witness it all for himself.
In the mid-90s, he launched the Society for Paranormal Research (disbanded) and a private think-tank, the Orion Group.
Over the course of his ghosthunting career, Christopher has compiled a database of nearly 1800 legends from around the State of Ohio. In 2012, he created Haunted Toledo as a conduit to share all the local, regional, and statewide stories he has uncovered. His work with Haunted Toledo caught the attention of Arcadia Publishing/The History Press and his first book of Toledo-area legends will hit store shelves in the Fall of 2018.
In addition to writing, Christopher has been a guest-speaker at many area events, including Halloween presentations offered by the Toledo Ohio Ghost Hunters Society and sponsored by the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library, the Sylvania Historical Society, and others.
Christopher has been a guest-speaker at Harold St John’s “Ghost Hunting 101” classes, which are offered by Owens Community College’s adult education program. He was also a guest-speaker at the first annual Paranormal Toledo convention in 2016, hosted by the Collingwood Arts Center, and will return to speak at the event in 2017.
In the summer of 2017, Christopher launched two online docu-series on YouTube, “Two-Minute Tales” and “Legends of Ohio.” In addition, he put together a team of researchers and investigators to help track down, explore, document, and preserve Ohio’s rich history of legend and folklore.
