Oxford Spook Light

The Oxford Spook Light is very similar to the one found in Elmore, Ohio and, I’m sure, just as similar to any other spook light found throughout the state.

From young love and tragic death to motorcycle accidents and a mysterious light that appears, seemingly on command, simply by flashing your car’s headlights three times, the stories are all virtually the same.

Unlike the Elmore spook light, which according to legend can only be seen on a specific night of the year, the Oxford Spook Light, apparently, can be witnessed whenever one choose.

The Oxford Spook Light can be witnessed by parking your car, facing south on Oxford-Milford Road, and flashing your headlights three times. The Spook Light will then appear, travel up the road towards you, and then disappear.

Park on Oxford-Milford Road, where Oxford-Milford Road and Earhart Road meet, facing south, by the ‘No Parking’ sign.
