West Union Cemetery
Where it concerns tales of odd occurrences, not much is in circulation regarding West Union Cemetery (also known as, Gibsonburg Cemetery). Google searches reveal almost nothing and endless scrolling through directories of haunted locations offer no potential clues.
Obviously, there are a lot of cemeteries which didn’t make the cut for inclusion in this directory. What makes this one deserving is a single photo I received in my inbox over the summer of 2015.
In the past, I have heard about, maybe, a handful of trips made to this cemetery by other ghosthunters, but they’ve never returned with anything exceptional or even noteworthy. Some orb photos and a few sensations of being watched or followed, but that’s it. Par for the course when it comes to most cemeteries.
But, as you’ll see in the photos, something strange and unusual seems to have surfaced in West Union Cemetery.
There is still some uncertainty where this photo was taken, but evidence points strongly to West Union. And, if this photo is legit, it provides the perfect reason why West Union Cemetery should be considered among one of Ohio’s haunted graveyards.

The cemetery is located at Holland Bair Road and Highway 600.
